5月14日，港股新能源汽车股集体走高，零跑汽车涨超5%，理想汽车-W涨超4%，小鹏汽车-W、小米集团-W涨超3%，蔚来-SW涨超2%
消息面上，Rho Motion的数据显示，4月份纯电动汽车和插电式混合动力车的全球销量上升至150万辆；其中中国市场销量较上年同期增长32%，至90万辆。
欧洲的电动车销量同比增长35%达到30万辆，而北美的电动汽车注册量同比下降5.6%，至10万辆。
在世界其他地区（拉美、非洲等），电动汽车4月份的销量同比增长了50%。
莱斯特表示：“到目前为止，插电式混合动力车在世界其他地区的销量几乎翻了一番，主要原因是中国的出口。”
今年1月，作为刺激消费政策的一部分，中国政府将汽车以旧换新补贴延长至2025年，这刺激了电动汽车的销售。与此同时，欧洲多国政府也在采取鼓励电动汽车普及的政策。
