Samudera Shipping injects JPY230 million into Japan subsidiary

Samudera Shipping Line Ltd announced on Feb, 20 2026 that it has subscribed for 115,000 new ordinary shares in its wholly owned unit Samudera Japan K.K. for a total consideration of JPY230,000,000.

Following the subscription, Samudera Japan K.K.’s issued and paid-up stated capital rose to JPY116,000,000 from JPY1,000,000, while the number of issued shares increased to 116,000 from 1,000. The parent company’s ownership remains at 100%.

The capital injection is intended to strengthen the subsidiary’s financial position and support the group’s joint-venture initiatives in Japan. The company added that the transaction is not expected to have a material impact on its net tangible assets or earnings per share for the financial year ending Dec, 31 2026.

The filing noted that no director, controlling shareholder or substantial shareholder has any interest in the transaction beyond their existing shareholdings or directorships.
