Data collected over the past 24 hours indicates that the average retail prices of major Chinese baijiu brands experienced mixed movements on March 30. If one bottle of each major product were bundled together, the total price would be 9,930 yuan today, a slight decrease of 4 yuan from the previous day. Overall prices edged lower within a narrow range, with the market continuing to trade within a defined band.

Among the 11 major baijiu products tracked, four saw price increases, six declined, and one remained unchanged. Leading the gains, Gujiao 1573 rose by 5 yuan per bottle, continuing its recent recovery. Qinghua Fen 20 increased by 4 yuan per bottle, while Wuliangye 1618 and Crystal Jiannanchun each saw a modest rise of 1 yuan per bottle. On the downside, Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ fell by 4 yuan per bottle, reaching its lowest level in nearly a month. Premium Moutai and Qinghualang both declined by 3 yuan per bottle. Flying Moutai and Xijiu Junpin decreased by 2 yuan per bottle each, and Gujing Gongjiu Gu 20 saw a slight drop of 1 yuan per bottle. The price of the standard eighth-generation Wuliangye remained unchanged from the previous day.

The daily pricing data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points distributed across major regions nationwide, including authorized distributors, independent dealers, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw data reflects actual transaction prices from the past 24 hours, providing an objective, scientific, and fully traceable reference for market participants. Since the official i-Moutai platform began selling Flying Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle, the influence of this new sales channel on retail pricing has become increasingly evident. The daily reported prices are calculated using a volume-weighted methodology, incorporating verifiable transaction data for these products.

In other industry news, Luzhou Laojiao Chairman Liu Miao noted during the National Spring Sugar & Alcoholic Drinks Fair that slow growth has become the norm for the baijiu sector. The industry is currently navigating a unique phase marked by the overlapping troughs of economic, industrial, and demographic cycles, characterized by oversupply relative to demand, reduced consumption occasions and consumer numbers, and shifts in consumer demographics, preferences, and habits. Official statistics show that annual baijiu production has declined significantly since 2016, with premium segment sales particularly affected by slowing infrastructure and real estate development. The sub-premium price range of 500–800 yuan per bottle is under the most pressure. Liu suggested that the current adjustment period will accelerate industry consolidation toward established brands and renowned production regions. Favorable policies and evolving consumer trends—such as a shift from material to experiential value, from social to personal enjoyment, and from product to brand loyalty—present opportunities for leading distilleries. He advocated for premium baijiu brands to focus on flavor refinement, lower alcohol content, female consumers, and younger demographics, while adapting to changes in social, banquet, gifting, casual drinking, and collection scenarios. Luzhou Laojiao has formulated a "156" strategy for its next five-year plan, aiming to join the industry's top tier.
