Centurion Accommodation REIT announced it has obtained provisional permission to construct an additional six-storey block and undertake alterations to the existing eight-storey block at its Westlite Ubi workers’ accommodation in Singapore.
The expansion will add 540 beds, lifting total capacity at the property from 1,650 to 2,190 beds. A land premium of about 13.9 million Singapore dollars is payable to JTC Corporation, and the manager plans to fund the project with committed debt facilities.
Construction is expected to start by 2Q2026 and take roughly 1.5 years to complete. The current eight-storey block will stay operational throughout the works. The manager does not expect the project to have any material impact on Centurion Accommodation REIT’s net asset value per unit or distribution per unit for the financial year ending Dec, 31 2026.
