Eli Lilly's second-quarter revenue hits $22.97 billion, surpassing expectations of $20.59 billion

Eli Lilly reported second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $8.38, compared to $6.31 in the same period last year, with revenue reaching $22.97 billion, exceeding the $20.59 billion forecast by analysts.

The company raised its full-year revenue outlook to a range of $85 billion to $87 billion, up from the previous forecast of $82 billion to $85 billion. Eli Lilly also expects full-year adjusted earnings per share to be between $35.50 and $36.50, narrowing from the earlier range of $35.50 to $37.

In pre-market trading, Eli Lilly shares rose approximately 4%.
