消息面上，阿里巴巴集团CFO徐宏在三季度财报会上透露，公司对淘宝闪购的投入将在9月季度达到高点。徐宏表示，随着效率提升和单位经济效益的显著改善，以及规模的稳定，预计下个季度的投入将显著收缩。有分析人士指出，阿里以上的表态，或意味着“暂时休战”。
值得注意的是，美团拟于11月28日举行董事会会议审批季度业绩。中信建投此前发布研报称，预计美团外卖业务亏损在本季度见顶；四季度以来，竞争烈度有所缓解，补贴逐步回归理性，美团外卖单量市占有所回升，预计外卖UE亏损有望减半。此外，长期看，外卖出海远期利润空间广阔，有望增厚美团的估值弹性。
