Hong Kong Markets Open Lower: Hang Seng Index Down 0.3%, Tech Index Falls 0.11%, Tech Stocks Weaken While Semiconductor Sector Opens Higher

US markets showed mixed performance on Friday, with the latest consumer confidence index falling short of expectations, leading to profit-taking activities. The three major indices closed with mixed results. The US dollar fluctuated downward, while the 10-year Treasury yield rebounded to the 4.06% level. Gold prices remained at elevated levels, and oil prices showed weakness.

Hong Kong's three major indices opened collectively lower today. The Hang Seng Index declined 0.30% to 26,308.91 points, the Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 0.11%, and the H-shares Index fell 0.24%.

In terms of sector performance, technology stocks showed more declines than gains, with Kuaishou and Baidu falling over 1%. The semiconductor sector opened higher, with AACMICROTEC surging over 9%. Auto stocks were active, with LEAPMOTOR rising over 1%. Some innovative pharmaceutical concept stocks opened higher, with Lupin Bio gaining over 3%.
