A draft regulation aimed at standardizing the manufacturing sector for hydrogen equipment has been released for public consultation. The proposed rules, specifically targeting alkaline water electrolysis equipment used for hydrogen production, are designed to promote product quality and reliability while supporting the high-quality advancement of the hydrogen industry.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has announced the draft of the 2026 edition of the specification conditions, inviting feedback from all sectors of society. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their opinions by completing a feedback form, which can be sent to the designated email address provided in the announcement.

The public comment period will run from September 18, 2026, through October 17, 2026.
