Samsonite Executes HKD19.76 Million Buyback, Treasury Shares Reach 84.67 Million

Samsonite Group S.A. (Samsonite) reported a share repurchase on 19 May 2026 involving 1.36 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging from HKD14.39 to HKD14.72, for a total consideration of HKD19.76 million. The volume-weighted average cost stood at HKD14.51 per share.

Following the transaction, Samsonite’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) decreased by 0.10% to 1.38 billion shares, while the treasury-share balance rose to 84.67 million. Total issued shares remained unchanged at 1.47 billion.

The repurchase was conducted under the mandate approved on 3 June 2025, which authorises the company to buy back up to 138.31 million shares. To date, 5.36 million shares—equivalent to 0.39% of the issued share count on the mandate date—have been repurchased under this authority. In line with Hong Kong listing rules, Samsonite is subject to a moratorium on new share issuances or treasury-share sales until 18 June 2026.
