Lithium sector stocks opened lower in morning trading. As of press time, GANFENGLITHIUM (01772) fell 8.67% to HK$33.3, while TIANQI LITHIUM (09696) dropped 7.88% to HK$40.

On the news front, on September 10, the main lithium carbonate contract on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange opened down over 7% before narrowing losses, currently trading at 69,920 yuan per ton.

On the morning of September 9, Yichun Times New Energy Mining Co., Ltd., a controlled subsidiary of CATL, held a "Jianxiawo Lithium Mine Production Resumption Work Meeting" to specifically advance the resumption of production at the Jianxiawo lithium mine. According to informed sources, CATL's applications for mining rights certificates and mining permits for the Jianxiawo lithium mine are progressing smoothly, faster than market expectations, with production resumption expected soon.

Dongwu Futures noted that after CATL's lithium mine resumes production, lithium mica supply will rise again, combined with market sentiment effects, the price center of lithium carbonate may shift downward again.

Everbright Futures believes that with the news of CATL's production resumption meeting yesterday evening, while there are expectations for resumption, it will also further weaken the actual impact of mining certificate issues on other projects. Short-term prices may decline, but actual resumption timing requires further attention.
