Sun Kong Holdings Limited announced that Asian Alliance (HK) CPA Limited resigned as auditor on 20 March 2026 after the two parties failed to agree on the audit fee for the financial year ending 31 March 2026.
According to the board, Asian Alliance had not begun any audit work for the FY 2026 statements. Both the board and the audit committee confirmed there were no other matters of disagreement with the outgoing firm, and Asian Alliance stated that, apart from the fee issue, nothing else needs to be brought to shareholders’ attention.
To fill the vacancy, the company appointed McMillan Woods (Hong Kong) CPA Limited as its new auditor with effect from the same date, retaining the firm until the next annual general meeting. The audit committee cited McMillan Woods’ fee proposal, industry expertise, resources, independence, and alignment with guidelines from the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council as key reasons for the selection. The board expects the change to enhance audit cost-effectiveness and not to affect the timing of the FY 2026 results release.
Chairman Law Ming Yik expressed gratitude to Asian Alliance for its past service and extended a welcome to McMillan Woods.
