China Starch Holdings Limited disclosed that it repurchased 2.08 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 20 October 2026. The shares were bought at prices ranging between HKD 0.167 and HKD 0.169, with a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 0.1687 per share. The aggregate cash outlay was approximately HKD 0.35 million.

Following the transaction, the company’s outstanding share count (excluding treasury shares) fell by 0.04% to 5.66 billion, while the treasury-share balance rose to 147.49 million. Total issued shares remained unchanged at 5.81 billion, as the repurchased stock is being held in treasury and has not been cancelled.

The buyback was executed under the mandate approved on 12 May 2026, which authorises repurchases of up to 596.45 million shares. Cumulative purchases under this mandate have reached 277.59 million shares, equal to 4.65% of the issued share capital on the mandate date, leaving ample headroom for further activity.

Under Hong Kong listing rules, China Starch is restricted from issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 19 November 2026, 30 days after the latest repurchase. The company confirmed that the transaction complied with all applicable Main Board requirements and that no material changes have occurred to the repurchase mandate’s explanatory statement.
