加拿大人在美国寻房的数量从2月份开始大幅下降，当时Trump政府对来自加拿大的进口商品实施了25%的关税。降幅最大的是在4月份，同比下降34.2%。此后，随着关税带来的初始冲击逐渐消退，降幅有所收窄，但仍然显著。
值得注意的是，加拿大元在今年春夏季节表现相当疲软，这使得购买美国房屋变得更加困难。加拿大元在2024年底开始对美元贬值，主要原因是贸易政策的不确定性。
