TAL Education Group Reports Q2 FY2026 Results: Net Revenue Reaches $861 Million, Up 39.2% YoY

TAL Education Group (NYSE: TAL) released its unaudited financial results for the second quarter and first half of fiscal year 2026, ended August 31, 2025. The company demonstrated strong performance with significant year-over-year growth in both revenue and profits.

In Q2 FY2026, TAL's net revenue reached $861 million, a 39.2% increase from $619 million in the same period last year. Operating profit surged to $96.1 million, more than doubling from $47.6 million year-over-year.

Net income attributable to TAL rose approximately 116% to $124 million, compared with $57.4 million in the prior-year quarter. On a non-GAAP basis (excluding share-based compensation expenses), net income grew 83% to $136 million from $74.3 million.

For earnings per share, basic and diluted net income per ADS were $0.22 and $0.21 respectively in Q2. Non-GAAP basic and diluted net income per ADS both stood at $0.24.

For the first half of FY2026 (six months ended August 31, 2025), TAL's cumulative net revenue totaled $1.436 billion, up 38.9% from $1.034 billion year-over-year. Operating profit for the period showed substantial growth, reaching $110 million.

First-half net income attributable to TAL was $155 million, with non-GAAP net income at $178 million. Basic and diluted net income per ADS both amounted to $0.26.

As of August 31, 2025, the company held $3.249 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments.
