TD Cowen分析师罗伯·莫斯科指出，这一联合或将"彻底改变"味好美的业务格局，为这家香料制造商带来更大的规模效应、更广阔的国际市场覆盖以及更强的零售商议价能力。
近年来，味好美的表现优于许多大型食品公司，在同行因收入下滑而苦苦挣扎时，其销量持续增长。这家总部位于马里兰州的企业将其归因于风味产品的强劲需求，以及精打细算的消费者增加了居家烹饪频率。
味好美首席执行官布伦丹·弗利在二月份的一次消费品会议上向投资者透露，美国Z世代和千禧一代在辣酱上的支出已超过番茄酱。"他们比任何一代人都更爱使用辣酱，"他表示。
周五早盘交易中，味好美股价微跌1%，而联合利华股价则上涨1%。
