根据新世界发展发布的2025财年业绩报告，公司来自持续经营业务的净亏损达163.02亿港元，较上一财年的118.07亿港元亏损进一步扩大。这一业绩表现引发了投资者对公司财务状况的担忧，导致股价大幅下挫。
尽管如此，新世界发展首席执行官黄少媚在记者会上表示，公司的减债工作已初见成效。她指出，去年公司的总债务和净债务都有所下降，现金流明显改善并恢复正数，反映出集团财务状况开始逐步稳定。黄少媚还宣布，公司将继续暂停派发股息和永续债息，并将减债作为首要目标。然而，由于资产出售进度、现金回笼和利率环境等因素的影响，公司并未就净负债率设定中短期目标。
