Oiltek International reports RM13.2 million 1H2026 profit, declares 0.5 Singapore cent interim dividend

Oiltek International Limited said its net profit after income tax for the six months ended Jun, 30 2026 slipped 6.9 per cent year on year to RM13.2 million, while revenue eased 1.6 per cent to RM99.2 million.\n\n

Gross profit fell 20.7 per cent to RM25.7 million, reflecting changes in project mix and timing of project execution. Profit before tax came in at RM17.6 million, compared with RM19.2 million a year earlier. Basic and diluted earnings per share were 3.1 sen, versus 3.3 sen in 1H2025.\n\n

The board declared an interim dividend of 0.5 Singapore cents per share, representing 50.7 per cent of first-half net profit.\n\n

As at Jun, 30 2026, Oiltek held cash and bank balances of RM95.1 million, had no bank borrowings and recorded net assets of RM103.1 million. The company’s order book stood at about RM258.7 million, expected to be delivered over the next 18–24 months.\n\n

Segmentally, revenue from Edible & Non-Edible Oil Refinery declined 5.6 per cent to RM67.3 million, while Product Sales and Trading fell 26.2 per cent to RM5.0 million. Renewable Energy revenue rose 18.4 per cent to RM26.9 million, helped by projects in Malaysia.\n\n

Management said it remains “cautiously positive” on prospects, citing steady global demand for fats and oils, expanding biodiesel mandates in Indonesia and Malaysia, and rising interest in sustainable aviation fuel. The group will continue to pursue new orders and explore joint-venture opportunities in renewable energy to drive long-term growth.
