China's commodity futures market opened with mixed signals during the overnight trading session on September 11, as gains in precious metals contrasted with notable declines across several chemical and energy products.

Shanghai silver futures led the upside, climbing 1.54%, while Shanghai gold advanced 0.86% in early trading, reflecting sustained investor interest in safe-haven assets amid broader market uncertainty.

On the downside, pure benzene futures tumbled 4.15%, marking the steepest decline among tracked contracts. Styrene followed with a 3.47% drop, while ethylene glycol fell 3.36% in the session.

Liquefied petroleum gas also weakened, down 2.39%, and plastics slipped more than 2% as demand concerns weighed on the petrochemical complex.

The divergent performance highlights ongoing volatility across China's futures market, with metals buoyed by bullish sentiment but downstream chemical sectors facing pressure from supply and margin dynamics.
