Virscend Education Company Limited (VIRSCEND EDU) disclosed that it bought back 5.44 million ordinary shares on 21 July 2026 via on-market transactions on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The shares were repurchased within a price range of HKD 0.193 to HKD 0.197, at a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 0.196 per share. The aggregate consideration amounted to HKD 1.07 million.
Following the transaction: • Issued shares (excluding treasury shares) declined from 3.066 billion to 3.061 billion, a reduction of 0.18%. • Treasury shares increased from 22.28 million to 27.72 million, lifting the total share count (including treasury shares) to 3.089 billion.
The repurchase forms part of the mandate approved on 23 January 2026, which authorises the company to buy back up to 308.88 million shares. Including the latest transaction, VIRSCEND EDU has repurchased 27.72 million shares, representing 0.90% of the company’s issued share capital at the mandate date and utilising roughly 9% of the approved limit. No repurchased shares have been cancelled; all are being held as treasury stock.
In accordance with Hong Kong listing rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 20 August 2026.
