A magnitude 3.4 earthquake occurred in Yuli County, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, at 9:49 p.m. on March 29. The epicenter was monitored at a depth of 21 kilometers, with coordinates of 40.86 degrees north latitude and 84.19 degrees east longitude. The measurement was officially confirmed by the China Earthquake Networks Center.
