SBS Transit (S61) reported revenue of 391.78 million Singapore dollars for the quarter ended Mar, 31 2026, an increase of 4.8 % from 373.81 million Singapore dollars in the corresponding period a year earlier.
Operating costs rose 4.9 % to 373.95 million Singapore dollars, leaving operating profit 2.9 % higher at 17.83 million Singapore dollars.
Interest income fell 48.7 % to 1.18 million Singapore dollars, dragging profit before tax down 2.5 % to 18.90 million Singapore dollars and profit after tax and minority interest down 2.2 % to 15.59 million Singapore dollars.
Average daily ridership on the North East Line grew 2.7 % year on year to 610,814 passengers, while the Downtown Line recorded a 2.1 % increase to 474,846 passengers. Against the preceding quarter, ridership on both lines was up 2.2 %.
During the quarter the operator introduced three two-car light rail vehicles on the Sengkang West Loop, raised installed solar capacity to 10.1 MWp, launched six City Direct routes and two new bus services, and submitted a bid for the BC802 Serangoon-Eunos bus package scheduled to start on Jun, 27 2027.
As at Mar, 31 2026, total assets stood at 1.17 billion Singapore dollars, up 7.2 % from Dec, 31 2025, supported by a 24.0 % rise in short-term deposits and bank balances to 476.42 million Singapore dollars. Total liabilities increased 14.8 % to 471.35 million Singapore dollars, while total equity expanded 2.6 % to 700.10 million Singapore dollars.
