Singapore Exchange Limited (S68) on Jun, 30 2026 published its Monthly Market Statistics, outlining trading activity for Jun, 2026.
The stock market recorded 21 trading days in June, up from 19 in May. Aggregate securities turnover reached 29,882 million shares, lower than May’s 38,737 million shares. Turnover value slipped to 44,639 million Singapore dollars from 45,837 million Singapore dollars in the previous month. The securities daily average value stood at 2,126 million Singapore dollars, compared with 2,412 million Singapore dollars in May. Overall turnover velocity declined to 49 % from May’s 56 %.
Total market capitalisation of all listed securities increased to 1,129,411 million Singapore dollars at end-June from 1,123,460 million Singapore dollars a month earlier. Primary-listed companies on the Mainboard accounted for 924,390 million Singapore dollars, while Catalist primary listings stood at 9,106 million Singapore dollars. Secondary-listed companies contributed 195,915 million Singapore dollars.
Derivatives trading remained active. Total derivatives volume rose to 34,315,225 contracts in June, up from 30,483,078 in May. The average daily derivatives volume edged higher to 1,619,444 contracts versus 1,607,949 in the prior month. Equity index futures led activity, with 17.4 million contracts traded, while foreign-exchange futures reached 10.3 million contracts.
The Straits Times Index closed June at 5,170.65, a month-on-month increase of 3 % and a 30 % rise from Jun, 30 2025. Within sector indices, the FTSE ST Financials Index advanced 5 % month on month, whereas the FTSE ST Catalist Index fell 7 %.
As at Jun, 30 2026, the exchange hosted 601 listed securities. By industry classification, Financials represented the largest share of market capitalisation at 659,554 million Singapore dollars, followed by Telecommunications at 75,083 million Singapore dollars and Industrials at 122,767 million Singapore dollars.
The fifteen largest companies by market value at month-end included DBS Group Holdings Ltd, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp, Singtel, United Overseas Bank Limited, Prudential Plc, Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd, Singapore Exchange Limited, Singapore Airlines Ltd, IHH Healthcare Berhad, Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd, Wilmar International Limited, Hongkong Land Holdings Limited, Keppel Ltd., CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust and NIO Inc.
In the fixed-income segment, 56 new bond listings in June raised 32,516 million Singapore dollars. Foreign issuers accounted for 79 % of new bond listings during the month.
