On the afternoon of September 19, the Fourth Two Summits Conference and the Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University Alumni Innovation and Entrepreneurship Returnee Talent Annual Meeting was held at the North Bund Cloud Meeting Room in Hongkou District. The event was hosted by the Tsinghua Alumni Branch of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Branch of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association, co-hosted by the Shanghai Ecological Environment Technology Research, Development and Transformation Platform, co-organized by the Returned Overseas Chinese Federation of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and supported by Shanghai North Central Ring Science and Technology Innovation Enterprise Development (Group) Co., Ltd. It attracted more than a hundred alumni from the two universities, academicians, experts, entrepreneurs and investment specialists to gather at the North Bund, focusing on green technology innovation, green industry innovation and green finance innovation, injecting the innovative momentum of returnee talent into the building of a beautiful Shanghai.

Zhang Ansheng, Full-time Deputy Director of the University Council of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Vice President of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association and President of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Branch, and Shi Zongkai, Deputy Director of the University Council of Tsinghua University and Vice President of the Tsinghua Alumni Association, attended and delivered speeches. Ma Xiaobin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hongkou District Committee, attended the event. Xiong Quan, President of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association, Yang Ming, Assistant to the President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Director of the Party and Government Office and Vice President of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Branch of the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association, Li Chunmei, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the Party Committee, and more than 100 alumni from Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University participated in the event.

In his speech, Zhang Ansheng said that after four years, the Two Summits Conference has become a shining calling card for the collaborative efforts of returnee talent from Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The theme of this year's summit, "Joining Hands to Empower a Beautiful Shanghai with Green Technology," is a positive response to and vivid practice of the Beautiful Shanghai Construction 15th Five-Year Plan just issued by the municipal government. This year marks the 130th anniversary of the founding of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The university will take this opportunity to deepen cooperation with Tsinghua University and other sister institutions, so that returnee talent can jointly contribute unique wisdom and solid strength to empowering a beautiful Shanghai with green technology and to the country's achievement of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance.

In his speech, Shi Zongkai said that the Overseas Returned Scholars Association and Tsinghua University have deep historical ties, and Shanghai embodies the work and life traces of many well-known Tsinghua alumni. Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University bear the mission of serving the country, and the vast number of returnee alumni are important intellectual resources for Shanghai's scientific and technological innovation and green transformation. He looked forward to the alumni organizations of the two universities continuing to deepen collaboration and playing a greater role in promoting the deep integration of green technology innovation and industrial innovation and enhancing mutual learning among international civilizations.

Shen Suzi, Deputy Director of the Hongkou District Development and Reform Commission, gave an Introduction to Hongkou District's Green and Low-Carbon Development, systematically sharing the achievements and opportunities of Hongkou's ecological system construction in industrial green transformation, and showing the broad space for the two-way convergence of green transformation and development with talent, capital and technology in Hongkou District.

Li Yadong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor of the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University, delivered a keynote report titled Scientists, Capital and High-Tech Industries. Starting from the relationship between cutting-edge technology, industrial transformation and capital empowerment, he explained how high-level talent can open up the key links of laboratory-production line-industrial chain. Taking three incubated enterprises as examples, he demonstrated the innovative mission of scientists in the new era, arousing strong resonance on site.

This year's summit continued the Wenting Dialogue brand, setting up three high-level talent dialogues around green technology innovation, green industry innovation and green finance innovation. It is reported that the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association has always taken serving the innovation and entrepreneurship of overseas students as an important starting point, striving to create an innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem for overseas students.
