During the spring planting season, farming activities are in full swing across the fertile Chengdu Plain. To meet the electricity demands associated with building a higher-level "Land of Plenty" in the new era, State Grid Chengdu Power Supply Company has introduced a series of power supply guarantee measures. These initiatives ensure reliable electricity for spring plowing and irrigation, safeguarding the promising spring harvest.

On March 16, Lu Jing, the village head of Tongchun Village in You'ai Town, Pixian District, praised the efficient service of the State Grid Pixian Power Supply Company. "We applied one day, and the meter was installed the next. The electrified sluice gate can now irrigate 500 acres of farmland, solving our urgent need for spring farming," Lu said. As electricity demand for spring irrigation rises, the company has opened a fast-track application channel. Leveraging 90 village-grid cooperative service points, it proactively identifies needs and streamlines processes, enabling immediate installation upon application. Since the beginning of the year, the company has efficiently processed 33 electricity service requests related to spring farming, ensuring farmers have uninterrupted power.

To precisely address the power needs of the spring farming season, State Grid Chengdu Power Supply Company has implemented a tripartite service approach combining government-enterprise coordination, hazard management, and detailed services. It has established a collaborative mechanism between municipal and county-level governments and the utility to accurately assess demand and complete load forecasting. Digital technologies, including drones, are deployed for line inspections to comprehensively identify potential risks in grid equipment. A dedicated green channel for spring farming electricity applications has been opened. Through the "village-grid cooperation" model, grid managers are stationed on the front lines to swiftly respond to various electricity needs from farmers.

With the advancement of modern agriculture on the Chengdu Plain, the proliferation of intelligent temperature-controlled greenhouses and modern farming equipment places higher demands on power supply reliability. State Grid Jianyang Power Supply Company has identified smart greenhouses in modern agricultural parks and seedling bases as key areas for power supply guarantees. Staff conduct thorough inspections of electrical equipment and power lines in the fields, aligning with farming schedules and load requirements. They assist in replacing aging equipment to eliminate hazards at the source. Furthermore, they provide on-site safety briefings to enhance farmers' practical skills, strengthening the electrical foundation for the stable operation of smart agricultural devices.

Digital innovation is also enhancing the quality and speed of spring farming services. "Previously, several households shared one meter, leading to queues for irrigation and complicated billing. Now, with the 'use-by-scan' system, multiple fields can be irrigated simultaneously, fees are calculated based on actual usage, and remaining credit is automatically refunded within 24 hours," said Zhang Jiahua, a major grain grower in Han Village, Mengyang Town, Pengzhou City, on March 13, after experiencing the shared electricity service. State Grid Pengzhou Power Supply Company has innovated a shared electricity model featuring "one meter for multiple households, scan-to-use, and settlement based on actual consumption," extending "application-free, use-on-demand"扫码 services directly to the fields. Additionally, it has formed 107-member patrol teams combining grid managers and transformer area managers across 16 districts, creating a "20-minute response circle" to quickly address hazards and repair faults.

From electrified sluice gates in Pixian to smart greenhouses in Jianyang and shared electricity services in Pengzhou, the power supply guarantee measures implemented by State Grid Chengdu Power Supply Company are actively supporting spring farming across the Chengdu Plain. These efforts provide a solid power foundation for spring irrigation, contribute to building a higher-level "Land of Plenty" in the new era, and ensure the orderly progress of spring agricultural production.
