美光科技宣布成立Micron Research Labs（美光研究实验室），计划未来十年投入100亿美元，重点推动存储技术、先进架构、先进封装及半导体制造等领域的技术突破，进一步布局AI时代的下一代存储技术。
据美光介绍，该研究机构将设于美国，总部位于爱达荷州博伊西（Boise），并将在全球设立卫星实验室。Micron Research Labs未来将联合客户、高校、政府机构以及半导体产业链合作伙伴开展研发，共同探索面向AI发展的新一代技术和架构。
随着AI训练和推理对高带宽、高容量及高能效存储需求持续增长，存储技术在AI基础设施中的重要性不断提升。美光此次启动百亿美元长期研发计划，也意味着公司正进一步加码前沿存储、先进封装及制造技术，为未来AI算力需求提前布局。
