Metis Energy said on Apr, 22 2026 that the current Iran conflict and any potential Straits of Hormuz disruptions are not expected to have a material near-term effect on its operations.
The company owns 51.88 MWp of rooftop solar assets in Vietnam that sell power under long-term power-purchase agreements indexed to Electricity of Vietnam tariffs. Unless those tariffs rise, the group does not expect revenue changes from global energy price swings.
In Australia, about 80 % of output from its utility-scale solar project in Queensland is covered by a fixed-price power contract, limiting exposure to wholesale market volatility.
Metis Energy also addressed questions on a U.S.-dollar loan secured in Mar, 2022 from Switzerland-based responsAbility Investments AG. The floating-rate facility, due in Dec, 2029, has recently carried an all-in cost above 10 % after increases in the 6-month SOFR benchmark. The margin reflects emerging-market and distributed-solar risk, the company said, adding that traditional bank funding might not have offered lower pricing or comparable flexibility.
Management will discuss these matters at the annual general meeting scheduled for Apr, 27 2026.
