MTR CORPORATION (00066): Dr. Jacob Kam Appointed as Non-Executive Director

MTR CORPORATION (00066) announced that Dr. Jacob Kam, the current Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed as a non-executive director of the company. The appointment will take effect upon the expiration of his term as Chief Executive Officer, at which time he will also cease to be a member of the Executive Committee. All these changes will become effective on January 1, 2026.

According to Article 117(a) of the Articles of Association, the Financial Secretary Incorporated has notified the company that Dr. Kam will be appointed as Chairman of the company for a term commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2028 (inclusive of both dates).

Upon becoming Chairman, Dr. Kam will also serve as Chairman of the Environmental and Social Responsibility Committee, and as a member of both the Nomination Committee and the Remuneration Committee.

Dr. Rex Auyeung will step down from his position as Chairman upon the expiration of his term on December 31, 2025, and will retire as a director of the company, Chairman of the Environmental and Social Responsibility Committee, and member of both the Nomination Committee and the Remuneration Committee.

Additionally, Mr. Wong Kwan-man, an independent non-executive director of the company, has been appointed by the Board as a member of the Finance and Investment Committee while ceasing to serve as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee, effective October 14, 2025.
