According to Zhitong Finance APP, all three major Chinese airlines rose collectively. As of press time, Air China Ltd (00753) gained 2.91% to HK$3.89; China Eastern Airlines Corp Ltd (00670) rose 2.4% to HK$2.565; and China Southern Airlines Co Ltd (01055) advanced 1.89% to HK$2.97.
On the news front, international oil prices fell significantly overnight, driven by the U.S. release of strategic reserves combined with the gradual recovery of crude oil flows from the Middle East. In addition, Trump said in Washington on Tuesday that the Iran war would end very soon, at which point oil prices would drop sharply.
Notably, the Civil Aviation Administration recently pointed out that public willingness to travel during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays is relatively strong, and required strengthening capacity supply during key periods.
Guojin Securities believes that air cargo freight rates continue to maintain relatively high year-on-year growth, and the sector's prosperity remains resilient. On the passenger side, attention should be paid to the realization of volume and pricing during the National Day holiday.
