Standard Chartered PLC (02888) Announces Early Redemption of HKD 1.10 Billion 4.70% Fixed Rate Notes Due 2027

Standard Chartered PLC on 2 March 2026 issued a notice of full redemption regarding its HKD 1.10 billion 4.70% Fixed Rate Notes due March 2027. According to the announcement, the issuer will exercise the right to redeem all outstanding Notes on 21 March 2026, paying the prescribed Call Option Redemption Amount plus any accrued but unpaid interest, with final settlement on 23 March 2026.

Upon completion of the redemption, the Notes will be cancelled in accordance with the relevant Conditions. The listing of the Notes on the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority and their admission to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange will likewise be cancelled on or shortly after 24 March 2026.
