Ardent Health Partners' stock plummeted 9.85% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the announcement of a significant legal challenge against the company.

The sharp decline comes after law firm Bleichmar Fonti & Auld filed a securities fraud class action against Ardent Health Inc. and certain senior executives in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. The lawsuit alleges the company misrepresented accounts receivable collectability by delaying recognition of uncollectable accounts.

The legal action follows a previous 33% share-price drop in November 2025 after Ardent reported a $43 million revenue reduction tied to revised collection trend evaluations and a $54 million increase in professional liability reserves. The lead plaintiff deadline for the current class action is March 9, 2026.
