XPeng Founder Unveils Major Upgrade of Turing Second-Generation VLA, Boosting On-Device Parameters Over 15 Times Beyond Mainstream Models

At the evening launch event for the XPeng G9L on September 17, XPeng Motors' Chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, officially announced a significant upgrade for the company's Turing second-generation VLA system.

He described this release as an extremely critical advancement, noting that unlike the first generation, this new version of the intelligent driving model now incorporates an understanding of time.

The XPeng physical world foundation model integrates time into its framework, elevating the AI's comprehension from a three-dimensional spatial perspective to a four-dimensional space-time continuum.

He Xiaopeng also disclosed that the on-device model parameters for the Turing second-generation VLA have been increased by 3.5 times, positioning it at over 15 times the scale of mainstream VLA models.

This enhanced version supports an effective temporal sequence of up to 30 seconds, accelerates end-to-end response times by 300%, and delivers a 20-fold improvement in comprehensive multi-dimensional safety capabilities.
