10月22日，港股黄金及贵金属概念股盘初下跌，龙资源跌超9%，大唐黄金跌超7%，紫金黄金国际、山东黄金、集海资源跌超6%，灵宝黄金、中国白银集团、赤峰黄金、招金矿业跌超5%，紫金矿业跌超4%。
消息面上，在连续数周的上涨推动贵金属价格连创新高之后，隔夜贵金属市场遭全面抛售，现货黄金一度暴跌近280美元，跌破创下12年来最大单日跌幅，现货白银暴跌逾8%，失守48美元，录得自2021年2月以来的最大跌幅。
多重因素共同拖累贵金属，包括国际贸易谈判出现积极态势，美元走强，技术面超买，以及美国联邦政府停摆和印度季节性买盘结束而引发的投资者持仓不确定性。
