TIANYU SEMI (02658) saw its share price jump nearly 14% during the morning session, with shares climbing 13.88% to HK$40.38 at the time of writing, on a turnover of HK$19.02 million.

The company announced it had repurchased 56,700 shares for approximately HK$1.998 million on September 15, 2026, at prices ranging from HK$32.74 to HK$37.10 per share. This buyback follows the earlier approval of an H-share repurchase plan, which authorizes the buyback of up to 10% of the issued H-shares (excluding any treasury H-shares, if applicable) as of the date the mandate was granted, equivalent to 5.899 million H-shares. The plan reflects the board's confidence in the company's future prospects, with the aim of safeguarding corporate value and shareholder interests, as well as bolstering investor confidence.

TIANYU SEMI specializes in the production of self-developed silicon carbide epitaxial wafers and has successfully achieved mass production of 4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch epitaxial wafers. In the first half of 2026, revenue from its 8-inch epitaxial wafers reached approximately RMB 147 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 40.5%, driven by smooth capacity ramp-up and robust downstream demand.

Additionally, the company achieved a significant breakthrough in overseas market expansion during the first half of the year. Revenue generated from countries and regions outside mainland China reached RMB 62.5 million, marking an explosive year-on-year growth of 4,906%.
