据外电消息，知情人士透露，华特迪士尼公司董事会正逐步达成共识，拟提拔主题乐园业务部门董事长乔什·达马罗（Josh D’Amaro）出任首席执行官，并计划于下周就新任领导人的任命进行投票。
现年54岁的达马罗自2020年以来一直领导着为迪士尼贡献大部分利润的业务部门。若任命获得批准，达马罗将接替鲍勃·艾格（Bob Iger）。艾格曾在2005年至2020年期间执掌这家全球最大的娱乐公司，并于2022年回归出任CEO。不过，董事会仍有可能改变决定。
迪士尼一位发言人在电子邮件声明中表示：“华特迪士尼公司董事会尚未选定下一任CEO，一旦作出决定，我们将对外公布。”
此次任命也将为一项历时三年的CEO遴选工作画上句号。自2024年以来，这一遴选过程一直由迪士尼董事长詹姆斯·戈尔曼（James Gorman）负责主导。
