The Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2026 was held from March 24 to 27, focusing on the theme "Shaping a Shared Future: New Circumstances, New Opportunities, and New Cooperation." Wang Xiaoyan, Vice President of China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd., attended the event and delivered a speech.

Wang Xiaoyan stated that CIMC is steadily progressing and committed to becoming a key equipment manufacturer and partner in cultivating emerging marine industries and upgrading the port and shipping sector. Drawing on years of exploration and practice, he shared three core insights:

First, robust equipment is essential to building a solid industrial foundation and strengthening the basis for blue economy development. Wang Xiaoyan pointed out that the core competitiveness of marine and port industries ultimately depends on equipment.

Second, technological innovation is vital to activating growth drivers and promoting the coordinated upgrading of port, shipping, and marine industries. Wang Xiaoyan believes that digital and intelligent technologies should be leveraged to foster deep integration of smart containers and digital logistics systems with port and shipping scenarios, enabling efficient management and control of the entire supply chain process.

Third, an open ecosystem must be built to achieve shared success in the future. He emphasized that the development of the blue economy cannot be accomplished by any single enterprise acting alone; it requires collaboration and mutual benefit among domestic and international partners.
