Trip.com Group has formed a dedicated task force to monitor the latest developments regarding the potential impact of the situation in Iran and the Middle East on travel plans.

For hotel bookings, the platform has activated a protection plan for orders made before 17:00 on February 28 for multiple Middle Eastern countries—including Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, the UAE, Syria, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bahrain, Iran, Israel, Oman, and Yemen—with travel dates between February 28 and March 5. Trip.com will collaborate with merchants to cover cancellation costs for users who need to cancel their bookings.

Regarding flights, as of 11:00 on March 1, several Chinese airlines—including Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, China Southern Airlines, and Sichuan Airlines—have announced special policies for tickets involving Middle Eastern routes. Trip.com will promptly communicate these policies and assist passengers with cancellations or changes. Policies from both domestic and international airlines continue to be updated, and Trip.com will closely monitor developments to keep travelers informed. Passengers are advised to check the latest information on airline websites or the Trip.com app.

For packaged tour products, Trip.com will activate its "Major Disaster Travel Experience Guarantee Fund" to protect customers with departure dates between February 28 and March 14 who are unable to reach their destination or become stranded (including during transit) due to flight cancellations or other disruptions caused by the situation. The fund will cover final cancellation losses for trips that cannot be taken and subsidize accommodation expenses for stranded travelers according to the guarantee terms.

Customers in urgent situations can contact Trip.com's customer service at 95010 or use the "SOS" feature in the app to access relevant support services. The company will continue to monitor the situation and provide timely assistance to travelers.
