SINOTRANS (00598) has announced a change in its accounting firm. The company stated that its previous auditor, ShineWing, had completed eight consecutive years of service. In accordance with regulations governing the selection of accounting firms by state-owned enterprises and listed companies, and to better ensure the independence and objectivity of audit work, SINOTRANS proposed the change after considering its business development and overall audit requirements. On May 6, 2026, the company's board audit committee held its fifth meeting of the year and passed a resolution regarding the appointment of the firm's 2026 auditor. The audit committee determined that BDO China Shu Lun Pan Certified Public Accountants LLP (BDO) possesses the necessary professional qualifications, expertise, investor protection capabilities, and integrity. It found no violations of the independence requirements outlined in the Code of Ethics for Chinese Certified Public Accountants. The committee approved the appointment of BDO as the auditor for SINOTRANS' 2026 financial reports and internal control assessments and recommended the resolution for board approval.
