During the National Day holiday, the consumer market maintained a steady growth trajectory, with home appliance trade-in programs continuing to play a role in stimulating consumption.

Data from the Ministry of Commerce's commerce big data platform showed that from October 1 to 6, consumer goods trade-in initiatives benefited 6.392 million person-times, driving sales of 33.48 billion yuan. Among these, home appliance trade-ins totaled 2.848 million units, generating 12.34 billion yuan in sales, while digital and smart product purchases reached 3.052 million units, driving 8.68 billion yuan in sales.

In terms of overall consumption, resident consumer demand remained active during the National Day holiday. The passenger flow and revenue of 78 pedestrian streets and commercial districts monitored by the Ministry of Commerce grew by 2.5% and 4.7% year-on-year, respectively.

Notably, smart, green, and health-related products emerged as new highlights of holiday consumption. According to commerce big data, from October 1 to 6, sales of embodied intelligent robots on key platforms increased 1.3 times year-on-year, smart glasses sales grew 1-fold year-on-year, water-saving appliances sales rose 18.1% year-on-year, exoskeleton assistive devices sales increased 12.8% year-on-year, and energy efficiency grade 1 dishwasher sales grew 8.4% year-on-year.

The relatively rapid year-on-year growth in sales of products such as embodied intelligent robots and smart glasses reflects consumers' continuously rising attention to emerging smart products. Beyond traditional home appliance consumption, intelligent, green, and health-oriented products have become an important part of the holiday consumer market.

Through the consumption data from the National Day holiday, it can be seen that the trade-in policy continues to release home appliance consumption demand, while market attention to smart, green, and health-related products has further increased. As the policy continues to advance and new consumer demand keeps growing, the consumption structure of the home appliance market will also undergo changes.
