The product in question is a co-crystal formed by the opioid agonist tramadol hydrochloride and the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug celecoxib, which is intended to be marketed as a novel pain management therapy.
The proposed indication for this clinical trial is specifically for the treatment of short-term, moderate to severe acute somatic pain in adults. This includes pain arising from post-surgical procedures, such as those following orthopedic, trauma, or dental surgeries, as well as musculoskeletal pain originating from injuries to muscles, ligaments, tendons, and joints.
