Some netizens dug up a video showing Xiaomi employees fake falling before the finish line to let Lei Jun win first place, jokingly commenting "Why do I run the fastest? Because everyone faster than me fell down."

Wang Hua, XIAOMI-W's Public Relations General Manager, clarified that this was actually a comedy video filmed in 2021. Lei Jun reposted the related social media post, stating that quite a few people actually believed this was a real running competition among Xiaomi employees.

Subsequently, netizens left comments under Lei Jun's social media posts saying, "Many of the comedy videos you filmed before, they thought were real. They even thought you Xiaomi founders all lived in the same university dormitory, and believed that when you started making phones, you were very happy just getting 100,000 yuan in investment."
