The 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is currently underway in Beijing. As of September 11, the Changsha Municipal Commerce Bureau reported that Hunan's pavilion at this year's fair is predominantly supported by enterprises from Changsha, with a total of 37 local companies participating in the exhibition and related events.
This year's CIFTIS is centered on three key functional pillars: "expanding openness, deepening cooperation, and leading innovation." Approximately 90 countries, regions, and international organizations have set up exhibitions and meetings at the event, with over 1,800 enterprises showcasing their offerings on-site. Under the theme "Smart Leading Hunan, Serving the World," the Hunan pavilion occupies 100 square meters of exhibition space.
The participating enterprises from Changsha span five major sectors: cultural services, smart healthcare, intelligent manufacturing, AI-powered wearables, and consumer services. This diverse representation fully underscores the robust foundation and global expansion momentum of Changsha's services trade. The seamless coordination and interconnection of these sectors vividly illustrate how, empowered by AI, Changsha's service industry is undergoing quality upgrades and accelerating its breakthroughs in overseas expansion, thereby contributing Changsha's experience to the innovation and development of the province's services trade.
Wondershare Technology, a leading digital creative software firm in Changsha with operations spanning over 200 countries and regions, is showcasing its video creation software, including "Wondershare Filmora," providing a one-stop creation platform for AI-generated short dramas and comic series aimed at international markets. In the healthcare sector, companies including Contec Medical, Smart Eye Technology, Yuetaixing Medical, and Xingzhi Trade are participating collectively, highlighting the deeply integrated innovations and export potential of Changsha's digital technology and medical service industries.
Other notable participants such as Chenlong Plus, Leying Wuyou, CiDi, Shi Travel, and Sexy Tea are presenting a range of smart terminal products, including fully tiltrotor drones, AI translation glasses, robot dogs, and self-driving truck models, along with innovative new-style tea beverages. These exhibits, rich in services trade characteristics, are drawing significant attention from both domestic and international business visitors and industry professionals.
From January to June this year, Changsha's total services trade import and export volume reached USD 2.519 billion, marking a 15.04% year-on-year increase. Among this, knowledge-intensive services trade achieved USD 1.135 billion in import and export value, a substantial 35.7% growth, accounting for 82.54% of the province's total in this category. The current edition of CIFTIS, which runs until the 13th, marks the first national-level comprehensive services trade exposition in the opening year of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period. It features a pioneer "China Services" case exhibition area, with over 140 selected cases spanning 12 major services trade sectors. Notably, nearly 40% of these cases are centered on core technologies such as artificial intelligence, large models, and intelligent agents. Representatives from Changsha, including Wasion Group and Caohua Interactive, have had their projects—the "J1 PRO Smart Meter Solution" and the "Innovation and Operation Practice Project for Digital Content via Transnational IP Collaboration with <Arcade Dinosaur>"—selected for inclusion in this distinguished showcase.
