Geely Auto Adds 41,000 Shares After Employee Option Exercise

Geely Automobile Holdings Limited (Geely Auto) reported a minor expansion of its share capital on 1 September 2026 via a Next Day Disclosure Return filed to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The company issued 41,000 new ordinary shares following the exercise of employee share options granted under the option scheme adopted on 28 April 2023.

The newly issued shares account for 0.00038% of Geely Auto’s pre-event issued share base (excluding treasury shares) and were allotted at HKD 9.56 per share.

After the transaction, the number of issued shares (excluding treasury shares) rose from 10.79 billion to 10.79 billion, while the treasury-share balance remained unchanged at 63.21 million. Consequently, total issued shares, inclusive of treasury shares, increased marginally to 10.85 billion.

The company confirmed that the issuance was duly authorised by the board and complied with all applicable listing rules and regulatory requirements. No share repurchases, redemptions or on-market sales of treasury shares were reported during the period.
