中建富通（00138）于4月29日发布公告，董事会宣布拟寻求股东大会授予公司股份购回的一般授权。此授权最高可购回公司现有已发行股份总数的10%，即159,967,545股已发行股份的最多15,996,754股。该计划将由6月26日召开的股东周年大会审议。
中建富通表示，股份购回所需资金将从依据百慕达相关法律法规及上市规则所许可的可分配盈余及其他合法资金中拨付。公司董事会认为，拟进行的购回计划有助于提高资本运用效率，或在适当情况下推动每股资产净值及每股盈利增长，符合公司和股东整体最佳利益。公司股票目前在香港联交所主板上市。
公司定于6月23日至6月26日暂停办理股份过户登记，以确定有资格出席股东周年大会并在会上投票的股东。过户登记的最后办理日为6月22日下午4时30分。董事会提醒股东应在相关时限前完成股份过户等必要手续。股东周年大会将于6月26日11时正于香港新界沙田火炭举行，公司届时将就股份购回授权、董事重选及公司其他事项进行表决。
