Sinotruk (03808) saw its share price climb more than 4% during Tuesday's trading session, with the stock last up 3.92% at HK$44.58, recording turnover of HK$256 million.
According to a research note from Daiwa, the company's management recently participated in a non-deal roadshow with the brokerage. Citing robust overseas demand and the potential for further market share gains, Daiwa lifted its revenue projections for Sinotruk for fiscal years 2026 to 2027 by 17% to 20%.
The firm's earnings per share estimates for the 2026 to 2028 period are positioned 5% above the broader market consensus. Management guidance referenced in the report indicates that domestic heavy truck industry sales in China are expected to reach approximately 800,000 to 850,000 units in 2026, while overseas volumes are projected to exceed 400,000 units.
For its own operations, management targets a domestic market share of around 19% and overseas sales surpassing 200,000 units next year. Looking further ahead to 2027, domestic unit sales are expected to hold steady year-on-year, while the overseas segment should deliver meaningful growth, with the company aiming for double-digit percentage growth in international markets on an annual basis.
