Highway EV Charging Volume Soars 55.6% on First Day of May Day Holiday

On May 1st, China's railways transported 24.844 million passengers, setting a new single-day record for passenger volume. Operations remained safe and orderly. For May 2nd, national railways were projected to handle 19.7 million passengers, with plans to add 1,222 extra train services.

Statistics from the Shenzhen Border Inspection Corps show that as of May 2nd, the cumulative number of inbound and outbound travelers through Shenzhen's ports this year has surpassed 100 million. This milestone was reached 17 days earlier than in 2025. The average daily passenger flow stands at 825,000, a 13.5% increase compared to the same period in 2025, maintaining Shenzhen's position as the national leader in port traffic.
