BIODLINK-B Shares Surge Over 9% Following Appointment of WUXI XDC CEO to Key Roles

BIODLINK-B (01875) saw its shares rise more than 9% during the trading session. By the time of writing, the stock was up 6.77%, trading at HK$4.89 with a turnover of HK$19.571 million. The movement follows the announcement of several changes to the company's senior management. Li Jincai has been appointed as an Executive Director, Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Nomination Committee, Chairman of the Strategy and ESG Committee, and a member of the Remuneration Committee, effective April 29. Li Jincai currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of WUXI XDC (02268). Public records indicate that WUXI XDC completed a cash tender offer for BIODLINK-B in March of this year. Analysts at SDIC Securities International noted that BIODLINK-B has achieved a significant transformation, evolving from a traditional pharmaceutical company into a leading player in the CDMO sector. Leveraging deep synergies with WUXI, the company's future CDMO business is expected to see sustained and steady growth, further consolidating its industry position. Future CDMO order prices are also anticipated to rise.
