According to information from the Ministry of Commerce, this year's Spring Festival period saw strengthened efforts to ensure subsidies for appliances, digital, and smart products, along with promotional consumer activities, leading to robust growth in sales of these items. Data from the Ministry of Commerce shows that over the nine-day holiday, sales of six categories of trade-in home appliances and four categories of subsidized new digital and smart products reached 5.106 million units, a 21.7% increase compared to the previous Spring Festival holiday. Subsidy policies have supported the development of offline retail. Ministry of Commerce data indicates that offline channels accounted for 73.3% of the total sales value of appliances, digital, and smart products. Smart products and quality consumption were particularly popular. In 2026, smart glasses were included in the new purchase subsidy program for the first time, becoming a new favorite for holiday spending, with consultation volumes and purchases of digital products seeing significant growth in areas such as Tianjin, Chongqing, and Sichuan. Meanwhile, the trend of optimized and upgraded consumption structure is evident. Ministry of Commerce data shows that mid-to-high-end mobile phones accounted for 65.0% of sales.
