The municipal government office has officially released the "Chizhou Embodied Intelligence Industry High-Quality Development Action Plan (2026-2028)" as part of a strategic push to accelerate the sector's expansion and secure an early advantage in this emerging field.
According to the plan, by 2028 the city's embodied intelligence industry is projected to surpass the 10 billion yuan output milestone, attract more than 30 core enterprises, achieve an annual production capacity of 2,500 general-purpose bodies and hosts, and establish seven benchmark application scenarios. These efforts are designed to position Chizhou as a competitive advanced manufacturing cluster for embodied intelligence within the province.
The development of the embodied intelligence industry represents a deliberate strategic move for Chizhou to seize new growth avenues and cultivate fresh momentum. The plan identifies five key focuses: foundational materials, basic components, critical core components, general-purpose bodies and hosts, as well as system integration and demonstration applications. To drive progress across these areas, four special initiatives will be launched to comprehensively elevate the industry's development.
The industrial agglomeration initiative will capitalize on the city's comparative advantages, intensify investment attraction efforts, nurture leading "chain-owner" enterprises, and support the growth of supporting businesses while continuously strengthening and extending the industrial chain. The innovation enhancement initiative will prioritize breakthroughs in core technologies, encourage the creation of flagship products, and establish innovation platforms to boost overall industrial innovation capacity. The scenario development initiative will strengthen application support, organize supply-demand matching events, and accelerate the replication of proven use cases. Meanwhile, the brand building initiative will focus on creating industry collaboration platforms and hosting major events to cultivate a dynamic industrial ecosystem.
