Renowned game designer Hideo Kojima met with Microsoft's Xbox CEO on September 14, with both parties sharing a photo on X platform. The picture shows Sharma visiting Kojima Productions in Tokyo, Japan, where she posed for a photo with Kojima wearing Xbox shirts and signed the company's signature board.

Sharma remarked that she spent the day with Kojima and his team, discussing collaborative projects OD and PHYSINT as well as future plans. Kojima officially unveiled his new project PHYSINT in September 2025, describing it as the "culmination of his life's work" and a "new stage in tactical espionage action."

However, Sony PlayStation officially announced this week that, after careful consideration, it made the difficult decision to cease collaboration with Kojima Productions on the PHYSINT project. Subsequently, Microsoft Xbox declared an expansion of its partnership with Kojima Productions to include PHYSINT.
