美国天然气期货价格今日上扬，市场正翘首以待即将于美东时间上午10:30公布的每周库存报告。根据《华尔街日报》所做的一项调查，分析师们普遍预期本次将出现210亿立方英尺的库存注入量。若果真如此，届时总库存将比五年同期平均水平高出1730亿立方英尺，这一数字较上周1850亿立方英尺的过剩幅度有所收窄。
与此同时，天气因素也在为市场提供支撑。气象预报显示，直至9月初，美国多地仍将维持较为炎热的天气格局，这无疑将提振制冷用电需求。此外，液化天然气（LNG）的原料气需求已攀升至两个月来的高位，其背后推手是Freeport和Corpus Christi两大出口终端均恢复至满负荷运转状态。
EBW Analytics的分析师Eli Rubin在报告中指出，上述因素"为今日9月合约的最终结算提供了看涨基调"。在多重利好共振下，纽约商品交易所（Nymex）天然气期货价格上涨2.4%，最新报每百万英热单位2.911美元。
